In this weekly series we highlight fun, simple games which can be played at your local park, around your campsite firepit, with new friends or family. The games vary from icebreakers, name games, and exercise warm-ups, to puzzles or riddles. Check out our weekly post and get out there and have some fun!
Participants: 5 or more
Equipment: None
Timeframe: 10 to 20 minutes
Objective: To spell a word, but not be the player to add the last letter One person in the group says a letter. The next person adds a second letter (with the goal of spelling a word). A third player adds a third letter. This continues until a complete word is spelled. The person who says the final letter of the word loses. Once a rounds is lost, the losing player gets a G (and so on, until someone has spelled GHOST). Example: Player 1 says “B”. Player 2 says “R”. Player 3 says “O”. Player 4 says “W,” thinking of “brown” but they lose because “brow” is a complete word. This player receives a G, and the game continues.
