What brought you to FRKC?

I heard about FRKC when I was in college, and now, two years after graduating, it is a great way for me to stay active on the weekends. I love working outdoors and having a job that calls for adventure!

Which FRKC route is your favorite?

My favorite FRKC route is the Doty Island tour, particularly at sunset.

When you’re not kayaking, what do you like to do?

When I’m not kayaking, you can find me taking photos, creating art, chasing a waterfall, hiking, camping, cuddling my three cats, and doing some more kayaking.

What is a goal you have for the future?

A goal I have is to build a tiny home and continue my career in marketing and as a freelance artist/designer/photographer. I currently work full time as a Marketing Coordinator at an accounting firm, KerberRose.

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

My favorite outdoor activity is, believe it or not, KAYAKING! I also enjoy watching the stars around a nice campfire or taking a nap in a hammock.

What is something unique about you?

Something unique about me is that I lived in Italy for three months, without knowing any Italian. I did have over 4 years of education in Spanish, which made it easier for me to understand other people, but when I tried to speak any Italian, it came out as very poor Spanish and an apology for the mess up. Also, my apartment was right next to the statue of David, so he and I got pretty close!

What is your favorite plant?

I love lilacs! The fact you can usually smell them before you see them is just amazing to me. Plus, they are only around for a short time so they are nature’s lesson in appreciating what you have, while you have it.

What is one food you could eat every day for the rest of your life?

I already eat cheese daily, whether it is in slice, curd, or queso form.

What is your favorite quote?

“It is not what we think or feel that makes us who we are. It is what we do. Or fail to do…”

— Jane Austen, Sense & Sensibility
