What’s poppin’ Party People!! My name is Syd da Kid and I’m a vlogger. If you don’t know what that means, it’s basically like this blog but in video format. I started making vlogs because I was inspired by other people on YouTube and thought I could give it a shot. I definitely didn’t think I would have gotten past 10 videos but here we are. I started making my vlogs because I thought having a way to document my life and everything that happens would be cool for future me to look back on. It also served as a way for friends and family to stay up to date with what I’ve been up to while I’m not around them. I’ve made vlogs on a bunch of crazy stuff from starting college to pranking my brother to the awesome trips I go on around the country. I have recently just passed my 50 vlog milestone which gave me a great opportunity to look back on everything and see how much I have changed along with my channel. Even though it has only been three years, so much has happened and I am grateful for everything I have gotten to experience in that short amount of time.
Recently, I decided to make a reaction video to one of my favorite shows, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. I enjoyed watching other reaction videos to this show, so I wanted to try it out myself even though it wasn’t exactly with my channel “brand”. I had no idea that it would turn out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. My reaction videos started gaining popularity and I was reaching a much larger audience than I was with my previous vlogs. So, I decided to rebrand my channel into a channel all about Legends of Tomorrow and it’s been going pretty well. One of the coolest things I have done from this was start a group chat with fans of the show. I have talked to people from all around the US, plus people from the UK, Netherlands, and Brazil! I find it hard to believe that my little YouTube channel could bring so many people together and create a positive impact on their lives, but this is the reason I love creating these videos. In the future, I’m hoping to start reacting to more videos to gain more popularity for my channel. One of my dreams is to have an audience of followers who I can help inspire and give good vibes to. Hopefully that dream isn’t too far away.
To get a taste of what I’m like and what my channel is, I decided to create a video called “Day in the Life of a Kayak Guide” just for this post, so go check it out! I talk about everything that I do for guided excursions from beginning to end. Maybe you even want to come out with me someday!
