In this weekly series we highlight fun, simple games which can be played at your local park, around your campsite firepit, with new friends or family. The games vary from icebreakers, name games, and exercise warm-ups, to puzzles or riddles. Check out our weekly post and get out there and have some fun!
Participants: 3 or more
Equipment: None
Timeframe: 10 to 15 minutes
Objective: To learn names
Participants sit or stand in a circle. The first player says, “My name is (insert name), I want to visit (insert city with same letter) and I like to eat (insert food with same letter). Example: “My name is Franz, I want to visit France, and I like to eat fish.” The statements following the name don’t need to be true. The second player introduces the first by saying, “This is (insert player’s name), they want to visit (insert the country that the first player stated), and they like to eat (insert the food that the first player stated).” The second player then goes on to make their own statement using their own name. The sequence continues until everyone has had a turn. Feel free to help each other out as needed.
